Five, 100-watt compact speakers and a high-performance powered subwoofer make up Polk Audio’s RM6750 compact home theater speaker system. The mineral-filled polypropylene enclosures are non-resonant for more natural sound. The satellite and center speakers feature Polk’s patented Power Port bass venting technology. This venting extends and strengthens the speaker’s lower-midrange performance for a seamless blend with the subwoofer output. The included 8-inch, 50-watt powered subwoofer uses a long-throw Dynamic Balance poly composite driver for longer driver excursion and better linearity, resulting in big, musical bass. Dynamic Balance technology produces flat frequency response, sharp detail, transparency and an ability to play program material with wide dynamic range at life-like volume levels without a hint of strain. The sound is always clean, clear and effortless.
Integrated keyhole slot wall mounting brackets (two keyhole slots on center channel speaker) allow for easy wall mounting right out of the box, with no extra brackets or wall mounts to buy; threaded inserts accept popular articulating brackets (sold separately).
The center channel speaker features dual, 3.5-inch polymer composite cone midrange drivers that produce clear, distortion-free midrange. The satellite speakers utilize single, 3.5-inch polymer composite drivers as well. For superior imaging and smooth highs, the center and sats each use a .5-inch silk dome tweeter.
All of the satellites feature spring clip speaker wire inputs. Plus, they're magnetically shielded for safe placement near your state-of-the-art TV or video monitor with no risk of video distortion. The subwoofer has a variable low-pass filter and volume (level) controls, as well as a phase switching toggle, and signal-sensing auto on/off, for even more control and convenience.

Great Budget Setup
I got these after purchasing a Denon 2807 mostly for it's HDMI ability and feeling that it was being underutilized on my stereo speakers.
I picked them up at Fry's for $199 and I must say that I think they sound great. I haven't got a lot of room to fill (perhaps 15ft x 25ft) and I didn't want anything too loud as I live in an apartment complex, but the sound definitely fills the room and the frequency ranges sound very well represented.
I haven't got much else to compare them too, but I think that even though they may not be the latest model, that a name brand for this price shouldn't be overlooked.
Solid entry-level speakers from a great brand
Even these low-end Polk speakers blow away the competitors. I can't believe the volume these tiny speakers push through without any hint of distortion. Only complaint is the subwoofer is a little weak.
Overall, my rating depends on how much you paid for these speakers. 3-star if you paid the MSRP of $500, 4-star if you bought them at Amazon for $289, and 5-star if you bought them (like I did) at Fry's Outpost for only $199!
A superb system - I cannot be happier
This is a fantastic system in all aspects. The sound quality is amazing and truly beats the bose speaker system in quality as well as price.
